Faberge has a long and colourful history but its perfumes and cosmetics division has been around since 1964 and became famous for leading the way by using celebrities to endorse its products. These have included Farah Fawcett, James Bond actor Roger Moore and model and actress Margaux Heminghway, the granddaughter of writer Ernest Heminghway, who received a $1 million contract to promote the perfume Babe, its best selling woman’s fragrance. The company has gone through various ownerships and the latest, Cayman Islands based Faberge Limited, aim to move it upmarket into the luxury goods range.
