His jewelry pieces have caught the eye of some of the most stylish women over the past four decades: Jackie Onassis, Elizabeth Taylor, Diana Vreeland, Audrey Hepburn. The Michigan-born designer graduated from Rhode Island School of Design in 1954 and moved to New York to work at Vogue. From Vogue, Lane dove into footwear design and worked on collections for Delman and Christian Dior. He has also launched his fragrance.
