Fashion designer house founded in 1910 by Gabrielle Chanel (affectionately called 'Coco' by friends). Chanel made a real revolution in the fashion world and, as well, in the world of perfumes. The first Chanel perfumes, including the famous N°5 were created by Ernest Beaux. Since 1978 the prime nose of Chanel is Jacques Polge. Chanel is an old perfume house. The earliest editions originate from 1920 and the newest ones from 2010. Chanel fragrances are made in association with perfumers Jacques Polge, Ernest Beaux, Henri Robert and Christopher Sheldrake.
