8 Tips To Avoid Bad Hair Days

November 5, 2009 on 3:33 pm | In Beauty Tips, General, Hair Care | No Comments

We’ve all had those days where we roll out of bed and realize our hair is just one big mess. And even if you’ve washed your hair the night before, it still looks blah. So how can you make sure your hair stays perfect all day? Here are some tricks to avoid a bad hair day!

#1. Work With Your Bangs

You don’t always have time to wash your hair in the morning, so why not just style the surface? Wash your bangs only, and throw the rest of your hair in a cute, messy bun.

#2. Throw it in a Bun

This is what I do most of the time when my hair is a mess and I don’t have time to wash it. Just throw your hair in a chic bun and top it off with a sleek black headband.

#3. Add Volume

If you’re having one of those messy hair days, just flip your head forward and add a little bit of hairspray. Flip your hair back and scrunch with your hands for a sexy, messy look with tons of volume.

#4. Back to Day One

shower cap

Your hair always looks great right after you wash it, but what about the next day? Not so hot, right? Well to get that day one look, just put a showercap over your hair while taking your shower. The heat and moisturize from your shower will reconfigure your hair, making it softer, and more manageable. Just blowdry your roots a little when you’re out and you’re as good as new!

#5. Tease

Tease your hair a little to get more volume. Start by teasing the crown of your hair for that gorgeous, back volume. You can also do the front as well as the sides.

#6. Ballerina Bun

There is nothing more elegant than a simple ballerina bun. Just throw your hair into a small, tight bun and add a pair of pretty earrings and some lip gloss. If you sleep with the bun, let it out the next morning for that wavy, just-out-of-bed look.

#7. Dry Shampoo

Yes, there is such thing as a dry shampoo, which is basically a shampoo that you use on dry hair. You can find this at almost any drug store. Just scrunch it in through dry locks and you’re good to go!

#8. Switch Parts

If you’re getting tired of the same old look, grab a parting comb and switch sides. Switch your part to the other side or right down the middle. It makes a huge difference. Styletips101
